Do y’all agree with this Bleach remake take? Discussion

Imo the OG doesn’t need a remake. It’s not like the anime came out in the 90s, It still looks pretty good in this day and age.

Sure it does have flaws, but I rather they make a remake later down the line and focus on new Canon content not stuff we are seeing years ago.

Pretty much when bleach stop having new content in the future is what I’m saying.

Then they could start on a remake I think that is the best way.

Literally not that? If anything that confirms he was alive because Zanpakutou DON'T DO THAT. Not only is it a major plot point that Tousen took his dead friends Zanpakutou, but ALSO after Yamamoto's death his sword is RIGHT THERE. We see it multiple times in Chapter 515, dying doesn't erase your Zanpakutou.

What DOES happen, as we see when Renji fought Byakuya, is your sword can revert to save your energy, that is all.

well what do you posit was the reason kubo added that shot? the only time byakuya's entire sword disintegrates is when he uses bankai and he obviously wasn't doing that.

i'm not saying it makes much sense in the continuity of how zanpakuto work, but obviously kubo included that shot for a reason, and it seems like such an obvious death flag.

Because he lost, that is so obvious I don't know why you're even asking. Byakuya lost, and was near death, he is not the first or only character here. Rukia and Renji are both shown beaten and motionless as well. Again, Hiyori was cut in half, it's meant to show something yes but not death, in that case reinforcing Gin is a snake.

If Kubo wanted Byakuya dead he'd stay dead or, if you're coping and making up things and he was magically "forced" to keep him alive for whatever headcanon people have, Kubo has had many interviews and Klub outside, he's talked about killing characters before and social media, he would have mentioned it.

It's not even how Kubo does death in the series, in this same arc Yamamoto, Ukitake, Chojiro, and more die and none of them are handled like Byakuya was.

you can keep your beliefs and i'll keep mine, i don't think either of us are gonna change the other's mind.

not saying kubo actually intended to kill byakuya, it's not like i know him personally or anything. i'm just saying the way he handled the scene visually and emotionally felt awfully close to a death fakeout imo, and i personally would've liked to see byakuya die there. not a major gripe or anything with the fact he survived, i just think it would've been better for the narrative.

And I'm not really trying to convince you, my point is more just the evidence people use is so bad. It's rumors and false equivalence. If it FEELS like he should die then sure, I disagree but I'm not really interested in trying to convince anyone. It's how people argue for the "evidence" i have an issue with.
