Hope they do the same with Ichigo. He has 4 different powersets to tap into, so the least they could do is give him a couple more techniques.

I actively went “OHHHHHHH” for every new thing I saw LMFAO it was insanely peak

tybw was already amazing but they’re really fine tuning the little details to make it like the greatest adaptation ever 😭

Remember when we were all laughing when Unohana had RG Renji pictured alongside Ichigo and Byakuya while telling an awaken Zaraki not to worry about losing her as he will soon have really strong allies he would have a blast fighting?!

I would like to apologize to Renji. I wasn't familiar with his game.

You know until recently I kept wondering, why did Ichibei come for Renji and Rukia and Byakuya too. As though that wasn't enough, he trained them himself. I feel like there's even more cooking.

I hope they kill him slow, and don't give him some stupid "redemption" that he is clearly passed getting. Dude is like Jaime Lannister in that horrible last season of Game of Thrones. All character development, just gone, because "Quincy."

He is the smartest character Even in the presence of Haschwalth he leaked that Yhwach absorbed soul king and ichigo is alive in the most natural way

It's the difference between a baby Bankai and a true evolved Bankai.

When Renji first discovered Bankai, he basically had one basic attack (swing it and hit people). He had nothing else. It was just a big stick.

But this evolved Bankai is more "comprehensive".

  • It can attack.
  • It can defend.
  • It can regenerate.
  • It can move quickly.
  • It can restrain enemies.
  • It can lay traps.
  • It can fire off energy blasts.
  • It can partially form without releasing the entire Bankai.
  • It has close range attacks.
  • It has mid range attacks.
  • It has long range attacks.
  • It has special big attacks to finish off enemies.

There are no gaps in Renji's arsenal now. No weaknesses to exploit. He's covered all his bases.

This is what Captain Kuchiki meant when he first fought Renji (when he just discovered bankai). Renji had no chance with just a baby Bankai.

Well now that we've given him 10 billion moves for the next Bleach game, Rukia better get the same treatment at some point over the next cour and a half lol. I'll be reeeaaal mad if she doesn't. Especially if she's gonna be a captain after all this

I'm not holding my breathe considering how tricky hers is. It nearly killed her the last time and she hasn't had any real time to train on it more since the as nodt fight

How could she practice if just moving too much could kill her in bankai? Not to mention there's no time. She's in Wahrwelt right now fighting against the Schutzstaffel.

Again, those are basically the same circumstances as last time. This isn't a difficult matter. There are a ton of ways for a writer to overcome such minor obstacles in a way that's consistent with logic and the rules of its world (not that Bleach is always shy of breaking those rules). There's really no reason you can give why she shouldn't use bankai again this arc, that can't be circumvented with some clever and/or convenient turns of plot, if the author were so inclined. Which he should be.

Except that being frozen in place with really any movement that she makes can kill her, and even in shikai if she doesn't warm herself back up in time she can kill herself that way is not a minor obstacle. She's in a constant active warzone so there's no time to practice and lets say she does use it who would she use it against? these are the royal guards we are dealing with not someone on the level of As nodt. She uses that thing, it wont kill any of them and then she'll just be a huge target because again she's frozen in place and has to slowly warm herself up. And if she just somehow gets some new moves after what was established that would be terrible writing.

Renji literally just got new moves via a brand new flashback to something we didn't see at the time.

But I'll tell you what would be even worse writing. For her to just show up next arc as a captain, "oh yeah, I've completely mastered my bankai now, all offscreen, you didn't see any of it." Then it'd be, gee thanks Kubo, for caring absolutely nothing for the one time heroine's journey or trials during this momentous event. But thank god you cared enough about a tertiary deuteragonist like Renji to do it for him.

If I had to choose, I'd pick the bad writing that at least gives Rukia some shine.

I'm afraid her Bankai is in its infancy so I wouldn't hold my breathe for her right now. It would be nice if they gave her some new Kido or techniques tho, just to show how much more well rounded she is.
