Like she’s still a stellar performer but its clear she is nowhere near her final form. I feel like this concert was the perfect moment right before she became the pop culture supernova she’s known as now.

Was just wondering thinking about the beyonce bowl and all those props and costumes and the huge sets for the renaissance shows. What happens to all these?

Finally getting around to posting about my view at Beyoncé Bowl 🤠 I took screenshots of my videos. I was slightly zoomed in on my phone, but this was the view from Section 341 at NRG Stadium. I did drill team in a Texas high school and absolutely loved the Texas homecoming spirit of the performance and how they made use of the entire football field.

Sadly, there was no Beyoncé Bowl merch to purchase, however, we got light up wristbands (wish I would have taken more left overs, cuz the ribbons are real cute!). I was also able to snag a blue poster that was affixed to the back of a seat in Section 115 for people to hold up during “MY HOUSE” that mentioned instructions for holding it up for the Netflix special, but did not take a photo of it.

I absolutely LOVED Blue’s performance beside her mama in her home state. I loved the lyric switch up to “spin me in the middle Blue.” This was the second time I’ve seen them perform together, the first being in London during RWT 🥹 And maybe technically third, if you count when Beyoncé was performing, while secretly pregnant, during her Roseland Ballroom residency for 4 in NYC 🌹 It was about a month before she made her big reveal at the VMAs.

I saw one crew member walking around with a Cowboy Carter Crew jumpsuit and snapped a photo.

While the stadium did not have Sir Davis at any of the bars, they had cute drink specials with mini silver cowgirl hats. It sold out by the time I wanted to get a drink, but I snapped a photo of one of the hats at the end of the night.

I tried my hardest to take home the balloons behind the bar, but alas, the staff said I couldn’t 😂 A girl’s gotta try!

I didn’t catch any of the opening with 16 Carriages or Blackbird, when they were backstage, cuz I was too busy trying to scan the field to figure out they were performing, cuz the field was so large and so many people were gathered on the steps, before realizing it was playing on the jumbo monitor 🤦🏻‍♀️ I also didn’t catch good Jolene footage, because I wanted to try to get a video of me with Beyoncé driving in the background, but I failed to capture it lol In hindsight, I should have kept my phone on Bey 🐝

I’m re-watching the Beyoncé Bowl and I can’t shake the feeling that the whole performance was lip synced??? The inflections don’t match the mouth shape for anyone most of the time, am I crazy? Did they change the original audio from the live perfomance or maybe is an editing error like some milliseconds off? (No problem with lip synced tho, I know mother can deliver)

I’ve been thinking about this a lot with the Grammys coming up next month and it’s kinda bothering me. We all know Beyonce should’ve won AOTY over Beck with self titled. We know she should’ve won over Adele when lemonade came out. She most DEFINITELY should’ve won over Harry or ANYONE else for Renaissance, and this is coming from someone who is a huge Harry fan.

My problem is that since Jay-Z went up on stage last year to accept his award, he called out the Grammys for their bs towards Beyoncé and the AOTY snubs- which is completely warranted. He even said it himself about how Bey has the most Grammys ever but has never won AOTY. She can have a whole album decorated with Grammys but can’t win AOTY?? It’s insane to me that the voters act this way due to her “winning too much” or being “too decorated”- in their words. Anyways, I’m so worried since Jay did that last year that the Grammys are just gonna give her the award for CC to “shut them up”. This is also gonna create discourse for other fandoms to say she bought it, or that she didn’t deserve it- one fandom I can think of in particular 🙄. IMO, Cowboy Carter is thee album of the year. I just know if she wins people are gonna talk about how Jay made them do it or paid voters. I know it’s gonna open the door to so much more racism and sexism that is already a problem between fandoms. I think if she wins, this AOTY is way past due.

What do you guys expect from the Grammys? Do you think if she wins it’s only because of Jay saying something?

hi all! i was listening to a playlist on shuffle when "Just For Fun" came on. i didn't know what song it was at first. for context, i was standing near a very noisy fan (machine, not person lol), which distorted the song to my ears. it sounded like Beyoncé was singing in a different key, which made me think, "what would it sound like if this song was in a minor key?" i suspect it'll sound like a rock n roll song! but i also don't know music theory/terms, so this is speculation. if anyone here can make a minor key version of JFF that would be cool, i'd love to hear it and scratch that itch!
