Seeing beyonce overseas Discussion

Was just thinking if there is a tour coming up, chances she comes to Australia are pretty low looking at her track record.

What's the best place to see her? Has anyone been to shows in different countries? Can comment on which ones are easy to get around to venues etc as a tourist.

I’ve watched stuff from all over and I’ve been to OTR I Paris, & II Barcelona, FWT Wembley and RWT Tottenham.

From what I’ve seen, she’s more “easy going” and “relaxed” in Europe, compared to North America. I don’t mean she’s not putting in as much effort, but somehow her demeanor is more chill; a lot of the candid moments from RWT happened in Europe. I think she more often films in the US and is more of her athlete self there, from what I’ve seen. But I experienced this in Paris (only European date for OTR I) when she was filming.

I sometimes think this just depends on how far along she is in her tour legs; the middle parts of the tour she must be very relaxed into the flow of it, compared with the anxious start and the climactic ends.

To be honest, I’ve had a sublime experience at all four shows, and it is very very rare that Beyoncé has an off night. She gives everything, every show, and to be honest, you won’t miss out wherever you choose to go. She always gives something unique too, you get your own wardrobe these days, your own riffs and sometimes your own songs.

It’s easier to get hands on tickets, and with cheaper tickets, and cheaper economies, to see her in mainland Europe. We checked Poland for RWT before logistics meant we couldn’t, but the tickets were at least half the cost and were not sold out immediately unlike the 5 London shows. That’s about the only impactful difference IMO.

I would even say you’ll have a better time if you can go to Europe. London is horrific before + after concerts, but this is probably because I travel back home after London (to the south coast), whereas in Europe I’ll be staying in a nearby hotel.

I should mention one last thing: Europe tends to have much earlier sound curfews compared to US. She tends to come on later and leave later there.

I’d say approach it differently - where do you want to visit most? Paris? London? NYC, ATL or LA? New Orleans and Houston are incredible shows. But honestly there is no bad show. It’s a big international vacation- I’d let dates and where I want to explore before and after the concert dictate my choice

Australian here. You’ll very likely find the tickets a lot easier and more affordable in Europe. Saw RWT in London and Amsterdam and had an amazing time, especially in Amsterdam (though London got the raffles pop-up and was an amazing time too).

If you’re on the east coast, LA is the shortest route and a direct flight but a very expensive city to see shows like this in.

I’d suggest, as said elsewhere - work out where you want to go most, plan a nice holiday around it, maybe see a couple shows - it’s a long way to fly so definitely try to make it about more than just the show itself!

Seattle was pretty affordable, it could be a good option for Aussies. Or Vancouver BC

I went to RWT in Frankfurt and Warsaw. We happened to check tickets for the Warsaw show on Ticketmaster only like a week before and there were still some available! And at a normal-ish price (not super expensive like other shows). So we decided to hit Warsaw after Frankfurt (we caught a looonngg Flixbus but it was so fun to chase the show!)

So I definitely recommend Europe if she goes again, and hit the countries that you think would be less popular. Worth it!

Edit: I’m also Australian but I live abroad and travel a lot so didn’t seem like such a big deal to go to Europe. But I know not everyone has the luxury of show-hopping. 🙏
