Came back from our honeymoon after being away from our dog for the first time. I don't think we are allowed to go anywhere without him again.

Very sweet that you were only reminded of that and did not face the harshest of consequences. Great dog you’ve got!

That sad face says it all! I guess he’s your permanent travel buddy now.

Good thing it's a one-time honeymoon.

We turned our chihuahua mix girl into the office dog. She is a joy and never makes a mess. Hates being alone though and I hate being without her. Stays home if my wife works remotely but goes with me otherwise. Bark bark when people come in and runs to her carry case and then not a peep for a 2 hour appointment. She is a bit dodgy about being left in the car alone even for a short time so I run my errands on wifes work at home days.

lab German Shepard mix?

We were told he was a husky Shephard mix. We think he has some lab in him as well :)

He looks exactly like our dog, who is also a Husky Shepard mix! https://i.imgur.com/IT9wc8P.jpeg

Oh wow! They do look alike!!! That's so cool! It's such a fun (and sometimes frustrating) mix haha

I had to travel once a month or so for a while, and my cat would go to the boarders. She did not like the boarders.

As soon as I got my suitcase out, she’d hide. Well. Very well.

It got so that I’d prepare everything for the suitcase on the table but not bring the case out, wait for the blissfully ignorant cat to go to sleep, gently pick her up, snuggle, kiss, and put her into her travel carrier, and off to the boarders. The suitcase would get packed as soon as I got back.

I’d get haughty snuggles when she got home after the trip. The “I’m mad at you but I missed you!” lap sit. I think she knew when I needed to pee but would refuse to get down just to make me suffer.

Lots of Airbnbs allow dogs these days - perhaps the pup can come along for the next adventure. He seems so sweet.

Oh, he will definitely be coming along next time! He's too cute to leave behind :)
