That's so cool, I love stuff like this. Elgin is just 45 mins away from where I'm at in Chicago!

I used to buy games at the Schaumburg store. Haven't thought of that store in years.

I loved River Raid! Probably the 2600 game I played the most, never beat it though. I have it now on a retro arcade I built, played it the other day.

My dad beat Lazer Blast and took a pic to send in, I don't know whatever came of it though. Man, I forgot all about that until now.

I wonder what the story was behind getting the console exchanged.

Yeah... Me too. I was wondering the same thing,,, Looks like the first 2600 died within the first 5 days of ownership....so he did a return.... Only the OP Jean knows the real answer! The unit was bought in '83 so you know it was a 4-switcher machine...probably a Vader unit if I had to guess...lol... :o) - Tony K.

I’m just glad it isn’t that K-mart receipt that’s always floating around.

Well I actually forgot to put it in the picture, there’s a paper with a copy of the Kmart receipt. There’s a Kmart sticker on the box aswell

Also, when reading the Activision letter - this can not be reiterated enough - Kodak disc cameras were crap!
