3D Volumetric Display

What if Atari somehow made 3D versions of some of their games for a 3D volumetric display like this Voxatron:

I tried to do rough sketches in an isometric view of what I had in mind. The numbers correspond to the images. These are just a few example games that came to mind.

1 - Pong 2 - Breakout 3 - Space Invaders 4 - Missile Command 5 - Centipede 6 - Tempest

Do you think there would be decent interest in something like this? Or would this be too niche for anyone to care?

They actually were early developers of 3D hologram technology, but after a few prototypes decided it was a dead end. All those official seal type holograms you get on carts and ID cards and stuff? They were going to do it with handhelds.

Can't imagine how. It seems awesome. My only guess is that they couldn't make it affordable. I'm guessing this tech is expensive AF. Plus there seems to be zero interest in this somehow because you're the only one that has replied. That sucks. I thought this would be so cool.

I've never even seen those. Seems pretty cool. I'm surprised they didn't really go anywhere.
