New breweries Breweries

Going to be visiting in March and haven’t been in 3 or 4 years. Are there any new breweries worth checking out ?

I’ve been to all the obvious ones even Fonta Flora in whatever that town is way out there.

New Origin might be the newest. They’re on the Southeast side of town right next door to Cursus Keme (which is also relatively new).

Cellarest is another newbie worth checking out.

Hi-Wire has a new location at the River Arts District. Highland has a new location downtown. One World has a new location in West AVL. Archetype has a new lounge downtown.

Not sure if it will be open by March, but Burial is expanding into a new building by their OG location.

I recently discovered Eurisko https://euriskobeer.com/beers/ in the past few years and I think it is newer (or just never noticed previously). They have a big (mostly outdoors) space, good beers and a solid Twin Peaks theme throughout on the off chance you are a fan (which I am and absolutely loved their setup)!

Hillman's (either site but Old Fort one is very new), Whistle Hop, and Turgua (on the creek) are some of my newer favorites. Also like Ecusta and Innovation in the surrounding area. Many breweries may have been around when you were here. An example is Seven Clans, now being served out of a restaurant in Waynesville called Frog Level. Blue Ghost has also expanded, if you like their beer. There are probably 50 more and new cideries as well. Cheers!

DSSLVR has great beer. I think they are newer. Burial is not new but they made some changes to their space and always have amazing beers.

Is that the old Lexington Ave brewery?

It’s nearby, but a different space.

Back in 2019, CANarchy (Oskar Blues, Cigar City, et al) launched a concept brewpub in the old LAB building, but they never opened back up after the initial COVID lockdowns.

Bold Rock Cider is there now.

Someone had recommended LAB to me and I remember it not being that good. One world Brewing and Asheville Brewing company also both have "alright" beer but nothing to write home about.

It is on Lexington, yes. Exact address can be found on wncbeermap.com

Upvote for Dssolvr. Some REALLY good beers come out of that space, and the people there are awesome. I've driven from Raleigh a couple of times to catch a new release there. Worth it.
