The border radius of the Ultra is bigger, bringing us one step closer to a completely round Apple Watch screen.

So is the garmin descent mk2 ( dive watch + smart watch) so it’s a non issue for me. My biggest issue is it doesn’t have a free dive function like my garmin does. Hopefully it will be added

I’m genuinely surprised at the price. It’s “affordable” compared to the garmin

1200 vs 800

While they were talking about it, I was guessing an $1199 price point. Especially since it has a titanium case, which on the Series 7 ran $799.

I kind of wonder if they're hitting a lower price point this year so that more people buy in and they can see what people use it for the most and then lean in to that for future models?

I was expecting at least $1,000. I think your assumption is spot on

It does seem to have a casual freedive feature called "depth" app that shows current depth / time underwater and records descents. I'm sure there will be third party apps as well.

They do also have a mk2s, which is smaller at 43mm. That one is 1000. Also expected this to be 1000 though!

It’s huge. I wear large face watches, but I’m looking at what 49mm looks like on my wrist and lmfao.

Did... did they say 49 mm? The previous largest Apple Watch was 45 mm.

Yes and even that is too big for me aesthetically and I’m 5’10

Yeah way too big for my wrist.

~⅓ (3.7mm) thicker than the S8/SE

I mean the height.

Definitely looks chunkier than the other watches.
