Purchased a Tesla in 2018 because it can drive itself without hands on the wheel. Still waiting on the update.

Like MKBHD always says in his reviews, never buy a product today based on the promise of potential future updates, because tech companies often fail to deliver — especially when it's ambitious stuff!

PS5 says 8K on the box.

Companies will always fail upwards.

Currently, PlayStation 5 is capable to support video games at an 8K resolution and has an HDMI 2.1 slot that enables the potential to play games in 8K resolution at 60 frame rates per second (FPS)

Only This game runs in 8k.

Do you consider 1 game a success

It isn't a Sony game. The answer must be no but it is still on the box.

The whole thing of people buying ridiculously expensive 8k tvs is such a joke to me. Where are these people expecting to find an abundance of 8k content to watch?

Well, it can run at 8K. But the market is so limited only 1 game has been developed, no one has an 8K TV.

I think we’ve learned in the last few years that Elon is not to be trusted. I’d put a bit more faith in Apple. Not an infinite amount, but a bit.

Yes, also one is a lot more tractable problem than the other

Then again, a first party calculator for iPad is almost trivial. Yet here we are.

Remember when they announced FaceTime as being open.

Don’t. I thought the M1 iPad Pro was going to be the future of computing and I finally caved and got a MacBook Pro. Wasted so much time with the iPad when the MacBook would have been better to get right away

The difference between the original iPhone with iPhone OS 1 and the iPhone 15/15 Pro with iOS 17 is solid evidence that Apple will eventually get it mostly right- the question is whether this new ecosystem will catch on and survive long enough for the iteration to happen.

It’s also a feature that hasn’t been promised

So the people who was sleep at the wheel while the telsa drove was fake? I thought some telsa could actually drive it’s self.

they come with some driver assistance, but offer two higher tiers of autonomous driving stuff for 6k and 12k

Full self driving (FSD) is still in beta. So while yes, you can. How much do you trust beta self driving software that explicitly tells you to always be in full control? Not quite what was promised.

Also, the hardware used for FSD has changed on newer teslas vs the original model S, where he promised that they already had all the hardware they needed for future FSD.

Tim Apple is not a con man like Elon Musk. Apple usually delivers.
