Fox or Coyote 🐺 🐶 CANINE: COYOTE/WOLF/DOG 🐶 🐺

Help settle a debate; is this a coyote or fox? Location is St. Louis area in Missouri.

definitely a coyote.

Foxes are smaller, with less pointy snout and super fluffy tail with white or black tip

All true except for the fact that all foxes have a white top on their tail. All red foxes have a white tip but gray foxes do not have a white tip.

Edit: Forgot to add that the tip of a gray fox tail is black

Coyote. A red fox would be ginger with black points, and a gray fox is the size of a cat.

Looks like a coyote. Pretty nice. Most the ones I see are eastern hybrid wolves but they mostly get called coyotes.
