if youre seeing mushrooms coming out of your walls/ceiling/floors, the "fruit" of a fungus, you have a HUGE problem. the actual fungus, the mycelium, is eating away at the structure of your house. your home is saturated with moisture and is a breeding ground for mold and insects. if you own your apartment... its going to be very expensive. if you rent, this is a health hazard you could break your lease for. take extensive photo documentation, with time stamps, and contact the local health department as well as your landlord. if its this bad, your landlord likely knows there is a problem already. this is probably affecting other units. contacting a public health department will incentivize the landlord to take action.

Thank you.  I got the mushroom caps but the one coming out of the pipe that's mold right? It looked similar to another person's photo.  I'm trying to move now.  I contacted Department of Buildings and they did absolutely nothing.

If I were to show all the photos I've taken you would be wondering how in the heck am I still alive. Been living here almost 3 years now and I never saw the extensive mold problem until this year.

Crazy how little these friggin landlords care about the residents of their properties, and how little the local DOB cares for the cities residents. Why the hell to we pay taxes lol. Wish you the best. I am in a similar situation. If its not mold, its mice. If its not mice, its roaches. UGH.

Thanks and good luck to you as well.  My apartment is a basement apartment.  My first basement apartment.  I love the fact there's no one next to me, as I tend to play my music loud. With that being said I am terrified of water bugs. That was a big concern for me.  Then, while trying to find a bona fide fixer for them, I went to YouTube for research purposes, and I came across this video for Advion cockroach gel bait.  I ordered it the next day.  Well, let me tell you, this stuff is the truth. It kills cockroaches,  spiders, millipedes,  flies,  beetles, everything.  If and when I saw a roach or waterbug they were dying. I put it everywhere.  When I say everywhere I mean everywhere.  So if you want them gone get it.

I hear you.

It’s got to be a wolf at least once or twice.

Jeeze, law of averages.

Why is this on r/animalid labeled a scat when the title says it’s growing in your apartment?

Last 3 look like inkcap mushrooms, mycology is very complex and I’m far from an expert so I also advise you to go to r/mushroomid
