Think of the GDP if 15 people live in one apartment, they work 12 hour shifts 6 days a week and they never join a union, truly a paradise for the 1%. Only racists would be against turning America into a place like that, those racists deserve to be replaced by non-lazy bug men from enemy nations.

H1B’s for ultra skilled talent, like they were talking about, account for like .1% of immigration. Illegal immigration has and will always be the issue. That’s what democrats want, open borders with millions of illegals coming across the border every year.

LMO You literally doing the meme. No, America will not win by importing millions of “.1%skilled” Indians

Look, I don’t agree with the abuse that happens with the system.
People need to stop being so rigid and being so short sighted with these arguments. Focus fixing illegal immigration, priority 1. No one disagrees with that.
H1b needs major reform, both of them believe that. I just think it’s ridiculous the amount of people who have turned on these guys who’ve sacrificed a lot to help Trump. They also did not have to do what they did. But they did. And they continue to give their true honest opinions in broad daylight, instead conniving behind the scenes and pulling a 180.
People turning on these guys are idiots who have zero critical thinking skills with zero ability to find middle ground. And you are all black/white thinking, just like the woke cancel culture. So annoying.

We have a top tier education system in the US, believe it or not, with plenty of highly educated individuals to fill the needs of society: https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/education-rankings-by-country
The problem is, and always has been, business owners wanting human capital that are willing to work more hours for less money than their American counterparts. This is a form of corporate greed that will improve bottom line margins at the expense of domestic workers.
If you are America-first, then you by nature should be greatly opposed to importing human capital. The issue at hand is fixing the wages here, such that people are actually willing to work.

Look. We want the best. People realize there’s a difference between opening the borders and letting EVERYONE in vs selectively picking the best doctors, scientists and engineers from other countries before they end up in China or Russia, right?

China isn't importing hundreds of thousands of Indians to their tech sector. Canada imported hundreds of thousands and is in tatters.
The H1B program is just a way for companies to import a semi-slave class of workers who will work harder and for less than most Americans. It's not about bringing in geniuses to cure cancer.

The alarming thing to me is that these supposedly intelligent people are talking about the short term gain of importing engineers as opposed to reforming the education system. I’m sure they’re talking about the education system, but it’s very apparent that they have more detailed plans for the later

Look. We want the best.
The USA already has the best. DEI and affirmative action have blocked them from getting opportunities.
picking the best doctors, scientists and engineers from other countries before they end up in China or Russia
Nobody is moving to China or Russia.
