Underrated games?
What are some games you feel don't get the attention they deserve on the system? For me it's Chew Man Fu and TV Sports Basketball. My friend and I could play Chew Man Fu for hours, though we never got through all 550 stages. TV Sports Basketball, it's choppy and kinda slow but there's something about it, it's my favorite Basketball video game of all time. Anyone else play as The Zombies?

I feel like Psychosis doesn't get remembered enough for all its cool imagery.

Final lap twin. I have only played it in emulator though. Super cool concept.

I love this game in Quest mode! It's fun and a little challenging working your way through the map, racing the locals to earn money for upgrades to race the local champ.

Chew Man Fu is so good, seriously under-appreciated game.
I have a big PC Engine shoot em’ up collection so I have a few recs for those, Hana Taka Daka, Override, W Ring, Gokuraki Chuka Taisen, and Down Load are all awesome Hu-card games that don’t get brought up much.

Yeah, I like W Ring. I didn't know much about it until I got a Turbo Everdrive, and it's something a bit different shmup wise from the usual suspects.

I've always been partial to Cratermaze. I played it once, an hour and a half later I was wondering why I'm still playing it and keep going back.

I take every opportunity to promote this game. It's Hudson's Super Mario Bros. with excellent music and good humor. It even has the warps.

It’s not the greatest game in the world, But I find myself playing tricky kick a lot. Puzzles games are timeless

Cybercore is great, seems to get lost behind blazing lasers, final soldier series.
Another vote for time cruise ii.
And bloody wolf.

As someone who loves ancient RPGs, mine is Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes. It's incredibly simplistic by modern standards, but if you're someone like me who actually enjoys VERY retro RPGs, it's solid. The gameplay is basic but fun, the voice acting is wonderfully bad, and there are actually TONS of secrets.

I would say Dynastic Hero, mainly because it's so rare. It's an upgraded port of Wonderboy in Monster World. It's possibly my favorite game on the console. For me it's right up there with Ys Book I&II and Dracula X.

Time Cruise. The Crush games get all the love (rightfully so) but Time Cruise is a fun albeit different type of pinball game.

Genpei Toma Den is an intense, challenging and really spooky game! It’s a little repetitive here and there but the monsters are really interesting and the music is great.

A love Veigues Tactical Gladiator... I would say best $19.99 ever spent, but a got a ton of my tg-16 games at that price (that seemed to the toys r us clearance price at the time)

Love the first one and all it's wonderful Engrish. Both great games, some of my faves.

Not sure if underrated or any good but I looked at Magical chase and it looks fun.

Military Madness. A great turn-based tactical war game, but it didn't sell very well in North America.

Exile, fast action, unique setting, amazing soundtrack. A shame about the second one when it released but at least there's a patch to fix the difficulty now. Still beat both back in the day but the first one was the most memorable for me. I never see these mentioned.

Since Exile might not have much replayability, I did find Buster Bros highly addictive, rarely mentioned.

New Adventure Island has a good reputation, but I still think it’s underrated. It really is perfect at what it’s going for: addictive “one more turn” gameplay, difficult but beatable, and great, colorful visuals.
I’ve also got some nostalgia for Impossamole and (believe it or not) Darkwing Duck. I know they’re not good, but they were the games I had and I eventually learned to love them.

My favorite game for TG16 has always been Parasol Stars, doesn’t seem to get mentioned much.
