Definitely ditch the carpet for vinyl flooring (if you can find a vinyl flooring kit for it) and can you add some interior pics I’ve been thinking about doing the ammo can in my pickup but wasn’t sure if I’d like it, also thank you for your service

sure I'll take a pic and see if I can add it to this post, or DM it to you. I've actually never seen the vinyl flooring I gotta go look it up!

K, there's a spot on the front bumper for a little box light, i am gonna add an IR flood for NVG driving, though there's not a lot in the way of need for a snorkel in my area

#1 Remove those running boards - they will get trashed quickly and in doing so may damage the body panels.
#2 Get a high clearance rear bumper that has good recovery points on it. Maybe a swing out spare tire mount?
#3 Not sure about the roll bar, but I suspect, from some things I have seen (photos of them rusting thru), that it is mostly cosmetic (?) so I would be reluctant to rely on it.
#4 Does your front bumper have good recovery points on it and is the bumper itself solidly mounted?

Excellent points. I'll get a thorough inspection on it tomorrow with some pictures

I have a 92 diesel Hilux, want to keep adding some mods for light overlanding, offroading, vehicle recovery but I don't wanna make it look like an overlanding spend-a-thon. Thinking of removing carpet and rhino lining the floor (carpet is trash), have a double din empty space in the dash (stereo is an amp under the seat and an aux plug in). Have replaced center console with an ammo can (love it) and will keep adding some military-ish mods because I like the reminders of my hilux in afghanistan. Also thinking of replacing the vinyl headliner with a cloth one from a 4runner. Want a radio. Have tools, fluids, filters, and tow straps. Want to add a waterproof toughbox to the bed, held down by a couple huge magnets so I can remove it when needed
