I just read that Joe Biden is privately saying that he should not have dropped out and that he would’ve beaten Trump Joe Biden Is A Failure 👎🏻

Am I in the minority in thinking that Trump would’ve beaten Biden just as soundly as he beat Harris? I’d really like to know if I’m off base. I would prefer almost anyone to Trump, but Biden promised he would run for one term and reneged, said he wouldn’t pardon his son and did, granted clemency to almost all federal death row inmates, and most importantly, he clearly has cognitive issues that his staff has now admitted that they’ve been hiding for a year or more. I don’t think that either party put up the best possible candidate that they could. I pray that in 2028 we get back to having capable qualified people vying for the nomination.

With Biden as the candidate it would have been a Reagan-like landslide for Trump. That was obvious before he dropped out. Trump would have won Virginia, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico and Minnesota and would likely have come close to winning New York. He would have had 350 electoral votes easily.

Yeah, according to what I heard on Breaking points, Biden’s internal polling was showing him losing by a landslide. Their polling seemed to be a lot more accurate than publicly available polls.

It's good to see that your eyes are open.

Biden couldn't have run even a coherent campaign. Considering, according to some sources, he wasn't even aware of his surroundings on day one, I wonder who's telling him to say this?

Part of the reason Harris did so poorly was her ties to the worst presidential administration of recent history.

The Dick Cheney endorsement hurt I agree.

Dementia tends to make you say things like that

To be honest. The reason why Joe Biden won in 2020. He REALLY BELIEVES 80 million Americans voted for him.

Joe Biden should of dropped out the moment "Let's go Brandon" became a meme. Even in the 2020 election too many people were talking about Cognitive issues and a rumor (or Democrat selling point was Harris was going to be president by 2022)

As for Trump. I knew he was going to run reelection the moment Joe Biden took office. I would believe most Trump voters knew that too. Everyone was talking about Trump as the front runner in 2024

The Democrats dropped the ball. They should of pushed Biden out in 2021/22. And make plans in running a new candidate.

Little joke - a reference in the movie 9 to 5. There a scene when the 3 ladies sitting by the campfire, cooking up plans and smoking pot. I feel this is what the Democrats were doing. Everything they done to Trump seemed like smoking way too much of the wacky tobacco...

I'm happy the Democrats dropped the ball!

What “doctor” Jill and his behind the scenes government did to pedo-joe amounts to elder abuse. And what they did to America is pure treason.

He would have lost New Mexico, Minnesota, New Hampshire and New Jersey had he not dropped

For some reason, most people seem to under-acknowledge how uniquely terrible Candidate Harris was. She is one of the dumbest and weirdest public figures I’ve ever seen. She’s an unserious, incurious, unpatriotic, unaccomplished vessel of bullshit. She had no policies and couldn’t answer any questions about anything. Even on abortion, supposedly her signature issue, she couldn’t articulate what she believed or what she wanted to do (other than “proudly sign” an abortion bill that does not and will not ever exist). It enrages me that we were somewhat close to electing that buffoon.

Biden, while crooked and senile and not exactly a genius either, at least, on a good day, can string together some words that have something resembling a coherent meaning. Harris’ only advantage over Biden in 2024 was not having aggressive dementia, but I’m not convinced Harris could outwit even a senior-moment Biden.

So part of me does think Biden might’ve done a little better than Harris did, depending on how carefully his campaign was managed. But Trump still would have won.

The best breakdown of Harris I’ve ever read.

If Biden stayed in the race, I think NH, NM, VA, NE-2, and maybe, just Maybe, MN! would have flipped to Trump (if there was extremely depressed turnout/third party votes in the Twin Cities, the rest of MN is very red)

New Jersey and Illinois would have been very close but still goes Dem in the end

Result Trump 341, Biden 197

If Biden had stayed in and won, he could have implemented massive military spending savings. He could have replaced the entire Air Force with all the flying pigs.

Cognitive Issues? He had a cold at the debate.

Like Morning Joe said. This man is cogent. He is the smartest and sharpest Biden we have ever seen and if you dont believe me then EF YOU

u/kimshaka 3d ago

He is 82 and should be enjoying his family. Not running the USA. He is slowly ebbing away from reality.

Why is the basket case even being talked about, good riddance already to the bad garbage, truly. Nursing home time he should be in jail but sadly he has immunity

u/frischizzle 2d ago

He probably would've, if they're assassination attempt was successful..

Notice they dropped joe out the same week?

u/j1mmyB3000 2d ago

He was pulled by party leaders because of mental deficiencies which made him incapable of campaigning like he did in 2020 but don’t expect him to remember. Nancy, Chuck, Hillary and Barack remember just fine.

Ya they really think we loved obidens policy they are lunatics

Biden, Harris, doesn't matter. Trump would have beat all of them with ease. Vast majority of the covid voting rules were gone and Trump absolutely destroyed Biden at the first debate.

When my mom was suffering from dementia, she made wild claims about what she was going to do. Biden is dreaming. It would have been better for Trump. Obviously people weren’t happy with either of them. When Harris said she wouldn’t change a thing that sealed her fate.
