Too high for sure. How big is it?

Can’t say for certain but I’d guess 70” or thereabouts.

I sit eight feet from a 77 and it feels fine to me, maybe too big for some. The only thing really making this one seem big is it's perched on that mantle.

Too high. Way too big for that spot.

When did people stop hanging things that people don’t stare at for long periods of times like mirrors and artwork above fire places?

Or having sitting rooms without giant tvs in them?

F me! You already answered your own question. Do you even use that fireplace? If not rip it out.

At first glance my eyes thought this was a rich, royal blue paint project (in process) and I was excited to weigh in on the bold color choice.

But no, it turned out to be a tv above a fireplace ...again. A tv so large, it has become the whole wall above the fireplace.

Does anyone know if there's an r/moderatesizedtvnotabovethefireplace? I want to see creative and elegant design solutions. I'm running out of Frank Lloyd Wright architectural videos to watch.
