Broic mentality? No thanks.

Stoic principles in broic lingo - hilarious and intuitive to the younger crowd

Where is that quote in the enchiridion or his discourses?

Did you read the enchiridion in the original Greek text? the post is intended to cater to younger audiences, it sounds funny but the intent and meaning of the quote are still the same.

But where is that quote?

Right next to Marcus Sigmalius's exhortation to stunt on these hoes. No cap.

You should at least oblige people with the real quote if they ask for it.

Was that really an "L" though? Why do you feel that you even need to "bounce back" to where you were? Can happiness truly come from some external "flex"?

An entire stoic book series written in Gen Z bs would honestly fly off the shelves in this world as trendy satire.. :

  • Marcus Aurelius (original): "The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way."

Gen Z: "The grind hits different when the L's turn into lessons."

  • Epictetus (original): "It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.

Gen Z: "Life throws hands; how you clap back is what's lit."

  • Seneca (original): No man was ever wise by chance.'

Gen Z: "Big brain energy doesn't just pop off-you gotta grind for it."

Be tolerant with others and strict with yourself

Be lowkey on others and highkey on yourself

I cannot possibly fathom which basement dweller could possibly have a problem with this quote besides maybe the way it’s worded. Genuinely how the fuck do people in the comments have something negative to say about such a basic thing in life.

Reminds me of my favourite quotation from Roman Statesman and Stoic Seneca the younger who said "shit be what shit be"
