I believe the official canon is her midichlorians were stolen and implanted into Anakin’s corpse, killing Padme and birthing Vader at the same time.

I'm not sure if it's "official canon" and your wording is a little crude, but yeah I like the theory that Sidious drained Padme's life force.

It is mentioned in the RoTS novelization.

Also, in the movie, you can hear the moment when both of their hearts are stopped, then Anakin's starts again.
