Indiana Jones has the reverse too. C3PO and R2D2 are hieroglyphics in a scene.

This was a cool list, thanks for putting it together.

If Lao Che owns Club Obi -Wan, does Obi-Wan own Club Lao Che? Seems in line with his drinking problem

I like that one

Also, if you look in the top left of picture 4, there’s another discrete reference confirmed by both Spielberg and Lucas: Harrison Ford.

If you look closely in several scenes you can see Harrison ford in all three of the original films!

There’s one more Easter Egg - George Lucas was such a fan of Temple of Doom, he named the wise mentor Ben Kenobi after the club Lao Che owns, Club Obi-Wan!

I just, of course, but it is neat that Lao Che and Obi-Wan both provide names for clubs in the other’s universe.

That Lao Che Easter egg was something special. It’s not even a blink and you’ll miss it, you gotta be analyzing every damn shot to catch it. The animators put it in knowing they were going to make some supernerd’s day.

There are also Indiana Jones music cues in Clone Wars and Rebels...Kevin Kiner is a John Williams fan...

Bane with Indy’s hat is pretty cool. I never noticed that before

Some of the music in the first rebels season seems inspired by Indiana jones

The last reference is the best

There's a crystal skull in Dryden Vos' office in Solo, too!

6

u/MrSebros 22h ago

That one is actually a reference to Han Solo and the Lost Legacy. I also thought it was an Indy reference at first, but the skull isn’t elongated!

So, someone traveled into a galaxy far far away to collect this from earth/indy OR this might be a crossover confirmed! Indy travels through the galaxy to live his biggest adventure…! /s

Okay I’ll stop…

You never know - ET’s species is canon in Star Wars (prequel trilogy), so that begs the question about whether Earth is known to some in the Star Wars galaxy.

If not for this list, I'd never picked these.

I knew I missed the Ark of the Covenant in Skeleton Crew! I knew that if we were going to see it in this then that is where it would be.

Wow. A lot of those I didn’t know about. Well done.

2

u/trecani711 15h ago

Hahaha yes! These are awesome!

2

u/Appropriate-Term4550 10h ago

Great eye! I didn’t even notice most of these

2

u/TheEmeraldKnite Grand Admiral Thrawn 1d ago

Also, in the Ryloth invasion some B1s are loading the arc of the covenant onto a ship.

So in the live action stuff, are they reusing the original prop? Or are they replicas?

There is a crystal skull in Solo also, in Vos's collection.

I was wonder is ND-5 a reference? ND=Indy

u/brownfrankenstein 13h ago

Now compare Goonies and Skeleton Crew, please.

0

u/13-Dancing-Shadows Grand Admiral Thrawn 1d ago

Oh so they’re not even subtle.

Cool 😁

5

u/Alarming_Animator772 23h ago

Why would Indy fans like myself want them subtle? I mean I wouldn’t want them to go overboard but those little acknowledgements gave us hope for more Indy content for over a decade

What about Solo?

Does Bane's hat really count as an Indiana Jones Easter egg?
