Just wondering we have started growing our own fruit and veg as a start of becoming self sufficient, the amount of money we have saved is incredible and the hobby itself is worth it alone, then theres the bonus of all the amazing produce, who else has a greenhouse and what is everyone growing? Food

Wish we could install a greenhouse but sadly we're renting and everything has to be "removable." We still have a good amount: cucumber, squash, peas, onion, mustard, peppers, tomatoes, brussels sprouts, chives, radish, carrot, and beets in the raised beds; and strawberries, oregano, thyme, rosemary, and sage in their own containers.

Wow, sounds like a great amount of food you'll be enjoying in the coming months then! What do you think of the brussel sprouts, have you grown them before?

This will be our first time growing brussels. I accidentally killed all my sprouts last year (long story) and bought them as starters this year. So far, they are hardy and the slugs love them.

Best of luck with the pesky slugs, we planted some turnips which may end up being slug snacks - we do have a lot of birds around the garden though, so fingers crossed they will help with the natural for of removal disposal... we will see!

I have a hoophouse with walking onions and reseeding kale, arugula, and lettuce. Started tomatoes, carrots, basil, and other greens. I also have some fruit trees but i havent gotten much of anything yet (young still + squirrels), raspberries, gooseberries, and kiwi that hasnt fruited yet (also still young).

Sounds amazing, not sure I've seen a hoophouse before! Where do you live, don't think kiwis would grow in the UK?!

Im in michigan, usa. A hoophouse is basically a plastic greenhouse. Plastic over a frame. Mine is 24ft x 12ft. And theyre cold hardy kiwis here!! :)

Just cut holes in the top of the soil bag and use it as a garden bed. Amazing

Such a great rewarding hobby that saves money too. Got a greenhouse going with potatoes, carrots, peas, onions, tomatoes, spinach and courgettes at the moment.
