I decided to spice things up this year with my new years resolution, instead of losing weight/getting in shape as usual I've decided I want to do (at least) one nice thing per day for friends/family/strangers. I'm already kind of stumped for ideas lol, not to sound selfish but I really don't have the capacity to devote a lot of time each day given I work 10 hours/day. My ideas so far include: - Shoveling someone's sidewalk - paying for a strangers coffee in the drive thru - picking up garbage around the city (I feel this one would be better for spring/summer) - writing a kind and encouraging note for a coworker (I'm worried this might seem creepy LOL) - giving out care packages to people downtown - baking cookies for my coworkers

Any other ideas would be awesome! Bonus points for anything that doesn't take a significant amount of time 😁

Cleaning out the drawer, a couple pairs never really had elasticity but they're all whole and very warm. I don't usually wear these as I have some slightly nicer ones for extra cold weather.

There is a fire hydrant right in front of my house and for some reason, all winter long, people park in front of it. I usually give them about 20 minutes before I report them, but fuck is it annoying because people should just know better.

We drove from the north end to Evergreen Square this afternoon while it was snowing. The bridge and roadway, which is maintained by Graham Construction, was plowed and sanded, we passed the plow truck. As soon as we got to the city’s part of the MacOrmond…. Snow piling up, not a spot of gravel or sand, definitely no plow!

Currently in SCH ER with my husband. He has been triaged and is in a bed receiving treatment. My question is about what happens to all of the people in the waiting room come 8:30pm when the ER closes. Does the closure mean only that no one else can come in, but that people who are already here will still be seen? Does it mean that the people still waiting to be seen need to go elsewhere? Anyone out there in Sakatoon Reddit-land know?

(You would think with me being right here in the ER that I could ask a staff member, but they are busy with their duties and I don't want to disturb them. Shout out to this entire staff...everyone has been unfailingly kind, compassionate, and professional.)

It seems like the old owner sold the rental property and I am gathering information in case I have to seek out a new rent.

Some one has entered my car by breaking driver side windows, there wasn’t any thing in the car other than a petroleum jelly, manual book, phone charger, AirTag . Nothings lost everything’s still there. I believe they came in for a spare loonie, or a toonie. What should I do 1st? Call the cops? How do I claim insurance on this ?
