Game not starting on macbook air m2

Hi, I used to play this mod fine on my mac, it's been a while since i played stellaris and when I try and launch the game with the mod installed it gets to 100% in the loading screen (before the main menu, when you first open up the game) and then just stops there and never finishes, I have no other mods installed and have tried unsubscribing, reinstalling stellaris and resubscribing to no effect.

Has anyone had a similar issue and found a fix?

The mod has had a massive restructuring and is much more demanding than it used to be. I went from a $700 laptop with a 3050 and 8 gigs of RAM and a still decent i5 running it fine and without issue, to it being slow, to it not running at all because it needed more RAM. If you have 8 gigs of RAM or less it will not work. I transitioned to a $3,200 laptop with a 4080, 32 gigs of ram, and an i9-14000HX. I do not regret my purchase :)

Yeah it doesn't work on my m2 either, its most definitely a ram issue.
