Asserting independence from FDA?

Rather than seeking full independence from the U.S., what do all think the prospects are for declaring more limited independence from certain US regulatory bodies, such as the FDA? Similar to the way a number of states decriminalized cannabis at the state level, despite it remaining criminal at the Federal level.

We should be a US state, treated like all other states

Statehood seems unlikely any time soon. Achieving greater autonomy, on the other hand, seems achievable.

It has to be either full statehood or independence, more "autonomy" is just going to keep us in Limbo forever
