What an odd sequel to Sam Jackson’s Snakes on a Plane.
Edit: I was hungry and mentioned snacks instead of snakes.

How does that get through X-ray inspection etc?

They X-Ray carry on bags that go with you, not necessarily all the bags that go underneath the plane I believe. Source: travels a lot

I think there is scanning of the luggage on the conveyor. I’m not sure how comprehensive it is though. It apparently wasn’t crab complete.

Live lobsters are allowed on planes so long as certain conditions in its transport are met, so I imagine crabs might be as well.

Has to be an approved cooler with ice packs & securely taped shut. Lots of fish gets shipped from the west coast & Alaska this way.
Be thankful it’s made it to baggage. I’ve had to detox miles of conveyor because boxes come unsealed while being routed through the system.

This was the impatient MF’er at the buffet line. At least wait for them to cook the crab legs

My mother in law does this kind of thing. She lives in Mexico half the year and travels back to the middle of nowhere. Coming up this year she brought a suitcase of Mexican snacks and grocery store produce plastic wrapped pork rib. She left with ham hocks, and Trader Joe's mac and cheese.
At least once a year she will tell me the story of how one year her mom paid for her to go with, not realizing it was to bring a sink back into the states via airplane. The TSA scanned a sink that day.
