Girl sprints towards woman screaming like a maniac blocking a dude's car.

I don't know the funniest part is just seeing that girl bolting from around the corner.

Girls super confused like "I sprinted over here for this?"

u/Thin_Bother8217 3d ago edited 3d ago

Gotta give her credit. She came in hot like the T-1000 chasin John Connor.

446

u/725Cali 3d ago

Poor kid is probably used to having to deal with this woman's emotional outbursts.

114

u/Thin_Bother8217 3d ago

Yeah, I can't imagine having to deal with a loved one with dementia (knock on wood). Very sad that we don't have places well-equipped to handle them. Or those that are are unaffordable to the majority of Americans.

137

u/725Cali 3d ago

Maybe. It’s also possible she doesn’t have dementia. I have known and seen plenty of people in my life behave like this and they do not have brain disease. Older people can be shit human beings too; it’s not always dementia.

25

u/Stealth_account123 2d ago

IMO this is a disability even if science doesn't have a concrete diagnosis/term for it. At this point your brain is not letting you function productively in society.

11

u/725Cali 2d ago

In the very least it’s called emotional immaturity. There are also mental health issues, including personality disorders that could be at play. And to that end, they may be reasons for her behavior, but they’re not excuses.

10

u/Jossie2014 2d ago

No mental disorder here. Just an old cunt that is used to getting her way and mad when she doesn’t. I would have driven through her

3

u/Bungeditin 2d ago

But it can be dementia I have lived and looked after two people with it. It hit them both completely differently, one of them this behaviour (in the early stages) would have been perfectly plausible.

She lived in the annexe of our house and had full time care that we paid for but she was convinced that the nurse was her servant and that the main house was hers and would shout horrific things at the nurse…..

3

u/BurnedWitch88 2d ago

But this woman is looking around very calmly in between screams. She knows she's not in any danger is just pretending to be to get help/attention.

Dementia can cause paranoia for sure, but in that case she would genuinely think she was in danger.

This lady appears to be a standard issue asshole.

I'm glad someone said this. It's giving neurodegenerative disease and it's heartbreaking.

17

u/thiscarecupisempty 3d ago edited 3d ago

My sweet grandpa had this. It was fucking heartbreaking seeing him so weak when he was the strongest in our family.

RIP babai, love you

7

u/Salt_Bus2528 2d ago

Both of my grandfathers developed strong immaturity from their dementia and wow was it ever a unique experience. The Korean war vet gramps tried to kill people overtly and secretly while singing Sinatra and strapped to a wheel chair. The WW2 pilot lifted skirts with his cane, giggled like a little boy, flirted and didn't want to do anything that was boring to him.

It was tough to see them like that (especially when a nurse wants you to keep a distance for safety.)

11

u/Mingilicious 3d ago

Terribly sorry for your loss. Most people don’t realize that these diseases are often an every day trauma which goes on for years for the loved ones of the person slowly dying from it (especially if they are the caregivers)… it’s devastating and I’ve seen it happen to countless people whom I love. There’s nothing quite like it, and I hope you and your loved ones are healing from the loss of your grandfather. My heart goes out to you.

2

u/sittinwithkitten 2d ago

17

Lol. Great minds think alike.

She even hit the turn like when he was chasing the cop car with full arms pumpin.

The Galleria?

9

u/Thin_Bother8217 3d ago

I think it was after they left the mental hospital.

Just going off my recollection, but, cop car goes peeling out and goes to the right. T-1000 follows and their looking out the rear window at him chase them.

As a caretaker for a parent with dementia, this is real shit. I have alarms rigged up on everything.

10

u/Forlorn_Cyborg 2d ago

Its so hard. My Grandmother escaped during the dead of winter trying to go "to work". Thank god a neighbor was coming home and calmly brought her back.

30

u/btsd_ 3d ago

Theres a good chance that this lady has screamed for help before and actually needed it, like fell or some shit like that (dementia/alzheimers are fucking terrible, of course making an assumption here..), this time was a false alarm but good onn that girl.

I got an old lady neighbor kinda like this. Most times its nothing, just a freakout, but twice she had fallen in the yard, and once was actually being attacked by a dog. Fuck now im super depressed thinking about this

190

u/Thin_Revenue_9369 3d ago

There are people way in the distance. They didn't come to help so they must be used to this.

13

u/FernDiggy 3d ago

lmaooooo

1.3k

u/Doobz87 3d ago

Nah that girl's a real one, hearing someone scream bloody murder and racing towards it.

That old bag, though....she needs the book thrown at her. Absolutely unnecessary to act like she's being attacked.

252

u/chamberofcoal 3d ago

imagine that dude was actually dangerous and that girl got hurt or killed because the old lady wanted to escalate the situation. dont scream "help," "rape," or "fire" unnecessarily.

53

u/Bazrum 2d ago

someone recently told me that their self defense teacher told them to scream "fire" instead of "rape" because "people come to help with a fire, they dont give a shit about rape"

25

u/cumfarts 2d ago

"Hello fire department? This girl who's getting raped said there's a fire."

10

u/jfff292827 2d ago

In my experience that’s not true. In my apartment someone was having a psychotic breakdown and shouting “rape” in the hallway. Everyone in the building showed up. It felt like a horror movie.

→ More replies

5

u/redditissahasbaraop 2d ago

That's some real appeal to authority BS. A "self-defence guru" said people will come to a fire? Who willingly wants to get burnt? On the other hand people would want to stop an attack against a person.

2

u/CatchMeWritinQWERTY 8h ago

Yeah IDK, maybe just me, but if someone is screaming they are getting raped I’m at least going to see what’s going on from a safe distance and definitely calling 911. Pretty much the same I would do for a fire.

I wonder if there is any actual data/psychology to back up the claim, or if someone just thought it sounded good and also profound so it caught on.

Right, OP thinks the girl's a maniac because she heard someone in distress and came running? She's gonna be a fucking hero someday. Or, a would-be hero at least.

3

u/Doobz87 2d ago

I mean tbf, the way she rounded the corner like the damn T-1000 from Terminator was kinda comical, but I'd rather have someone running to help me like that than nobody helping.

While it does look like a sidewalk, the car parks all connect to it…

234

u/chamberofcoal 3d ago

i kind of get where people are coming from, because if you haven't seen a suburban subdivision like this, you wouldnt know they exist. but still... looking at the video... sidewalk? a 10 foot wide sidewalk with actual walking paths to each home and leads to the parking lots? this is for cars and humans - he has to drive here to park, but he's supposed to drive slow. probably was driving slow, which is how her old ass was able to walk up and block the car and start screaming for unneeded help.

8

u/MississippiJoel 2d ago

I just realized the way to handle it would be to quietly put it in reverse, and then wait for her to put her weight/balance on the hood again...

5

u/Bazrum 2d ago

she yells "im trying to get him to go walking speed" to whoever was behind the girl, so i think you're right.

13

u/ElectricTomatoMan 3d ago

If you say car park, shouldn't you be saying pavement? 😀

6

u/MarathonRabbit69 3d ago

I like to defo mix it all up.

3

u/Dry_Can1353 2d ago

I think it is a sidewalk. I don't really see any car parks, just walkways to houses front door. That road looks barely wide enough for one car.

387

u/Cossacker1799 3d ago

The girl sprinted in with the right energy for someone screaming help like that but then was like “uhhh, what?”

u/SideOneDummy 3d ago

I watched this video 5 times and I’m still unsure of what I watched

178

u/Crafty-Shape2743 3d ago

What I get from this is the car was perhaps going over the walking speed limit when this old woman placed herself in front of the speeding vehicle with absolutely no harm to her body.

She begins screaming bloody murder when the young woman who, it seems is breaking all kinds of walking speed limits comes tearing around the corner to come to the aid of the old woman being assaulted by a stationary vehicle.

And, by her expression, is as confused as the rest of us.

52

u/bschnitty 3d ago

Except that's not a young woman - it's a kid.

20

u/igotzquestions 3d ago

Let’s assume the absolute worst of the driver for fun and this dude is driving down a sidewalk. Screaming for help as if you’re being murdered while standing stationary still seems insane.

8

u/TheToastyWesterosi 3d ago

I’m trying to figure out if homeboy in the car is on a narrow street or a wide sidewalk. Pretty sure it’s a sidewalk, and if that is the case, I kinda get why mama is pissed. She could handle herself like an adult, of course, but I understand the anger.

23

u/FwhatYoulike 3d ago

Some housing developments have roads and garages in the back of homes and paths like these for the front doors. Im assuming this is a path because i dont notice driveways or any spaces for cars in front of the homes.

2

u/planeteshuttle 3d ago

Not to mention being an attention seeking asshole slowly thumping down the access path 20 feet from people's doors.

9

u/Fanfictiongurl 3d ago

This isn’t the full video. It was an accident and the delivery driver even says to another neighbor that he realized it was the wrong way but she pounced before he could try to leave. He actually has to get past her to get back on the correct road.

I don't know their relationships, but assuming all are strangers in this clip that girl is a fucking hero.

She heard a woman screaming bloody murder, and with no knowledge of what the danger could've been she ran full speed to help her.

Call her naive if you will but that's a hell of a quality.

Calling the psychiatric ward.

11

u/SteveoberlordEU 3d ago

Not enought psychatrics wards anympre that's why they are send to sit at home.

2

u/azalago 3d ago

There are plenty of psych wards. What there aren't enough of are long-term care facilities for elderly folk that require a secure/locked environment. Assisted living only wants high functioning people, and nursing homes don't want anyone with major mental illness, dementia, or requiring a locked unit. They hand-pick the easiest patients that get referred. So these folks usually have nowhere to go except home with their families.

I work in a psych hospital and there's this lady who does placement assessment for elderly patients for a particular facility, that will try to sneak into the nurse's station and read their charts in violation of HIPAA. She's just trying to find any criteria to turn us down since they know the "hard" ones tend to come from us because psych hospital. And yes, that's a huge violation of HIPAA, we have to chase her out.

That young lady will grow up and go into some military branch or firefighter/ police officer, wish the music was down more so we could hear the conversation, because after she ( the young lady) said something the old lady started saying something and the look changed instantly into the look of shit I’m being a dumbass in front of this little girl and starts verbally back peddling to explain why she’s screaming.

That woman needs to get checked for a UTI.

10

u/bwolf180 3d ago

I mean it does look like he is driving on a sidewalk

41

u/Qudd 3d ago

That was my thought, too. But I'm inclined to think the person attempting to block two tons of steel with her body and screaming bloody murder is the irrational one here.

5

u/bwolf180 3d ago

oh yeah. this would get a "this is a sidewalk asshole" from me. But this... is crazy

5

u/oldbased 3d ago

This is a driveway for cars to access their parking spots. He might’ve been going faster than the lady liked, but he has a right to drive there.

21

u/chamberofcoal 3d ago

sidewalk of what? the grass? this is a paved "driveway" for cars to get into their parking spaces - its a subdivision with tiny lots. her complaint was his speed, as we can hear. which we dont know how fast he was going - he may have been going 10mph while there's a 5mph sign, but we do know this lady is out of her mind and screaming for HELP that she doesn't need.

he's 100% allowed, and probably required, to drive here to park and get into his/a friend or family member's home. the lady keeps saying "walking speed." that's her "problem."

2

u/ElectricTomatoMan 3d ago

That little Girl has either balls of steel or a death wish running up like that. What the hell was was she even going to do but stand there with here mouth open and hand 🤚 up. She didn't even have a cellphone to call for help. Thank goodness it was a false alarm bc she would've been another victim like her Neighbor Karen 1800's there. Woooof !

6

u/hamhandz 3d ago

She probably panicked and didn't really think beyond "person is screaming for help I need to do something". Good on her that her immediate reaction would be to try and help but hopefully after this she realizes she should get an adult in situations like this.

3

u/Jbrozas2332 3d ago

I agree. She's def. A good human being by running to help. Hopefully this doesn't traumatize her and helps her learn not to be a wild human when dealing with certain individuals. Also to atleast bring a cell phone. Shes def a soldier. The way she ran up. Def a leader.
