the main thing with my fitness pal is it has a huge database of foods that users can add to. i doubt there is such a database for pet food, but i could be wrong. apart from that it basically just adds the calories together. if the food has the calories listed on it then you could just add that to the total each time yourself. you could probably even use the my fitness pal app it's self since it lets you add your own foods. for the ratio of weight to calories your vet would be able to help you figure that out, better then i could.
Edit: basically yes it's possible, i don't think it exists yet, and would be a pretty big undertaking.
That's what the cat calorie count has now. I'm actually kind of impressed of the interface and the thought that went into a nice looking design. With it, I manually input the calories which is fine but it doesn't give me the option to put in crude protein or other cat food content. Thank you for your response. I wonder if I scan the cat food bar into myfitnesspal if it would prompt an option to put in info. The vet has provided the calculations to figure out what he needs to hit which I can manually input into the app also. Of course, I could do this on paper, I can do a typical nutrition log, but I just thought with how many people have cats and with the existence of myfitnesspal- I can't be the only one who thought this for a cat. Definitely a niche market but I wouldn't mind contributing to the data similar to myfitnesspal. Whether or not others would, different story haha
