Good tree skiing? PCMR

Is there good tree skiing at park city? If so, which side?

I’ve been to vail multiple times and finding wooded areas to weave through is always the most fun.

Yes. But no one is going to post the good tree spots for the whole world.

Canyons side has better trees by far.

There is fantastic tree skiing on the PC side as well. I'd call it a wash if you know where to look.

PC side, P Zone and Bergs Bowl.

Nose over toes, jump turns and stay on your edges.

Report back.

Be very careful. Avalanche mitigation may be lacking right now along with no ski patrol to help if you get into trouble. Please be safe! 💜

If it's not roped, it's very unlikely to be avalanche terrain. They're being very conservative with roping off runs knowing the kind of disaster of a situation they'd be in with an in bounds, open ski run avalanche. Especially when they claim safety is the primary goal, knowing full well how hard it is to have fun there right now.

Yeah, it's kind of a disaster. DV is killing it right now though. And the cottonwood resorts. Unfortunately cottonwoods biggest downfall is the traffic.

Saddleback and Peak 5 have the best trees. Super condor and McConkey/jupiter trees are good too if you like double black. Tree skiing is all about snow quality so you'll probably want to stay away from the base

Very limited access to the better tree skiing currently due to the work stoppage. Also, Vail Resorts has really been lacking in summer glading the past few summers so a lot of the tree skiing needs way more snow than we currently have for it to be skiable. PC counts about every acre within their boundary as skiable terrain, TBH it might be more like 5000 skiable acres at this point (when open) and dropping...

Saddleback has aspens to the left off top and the pines to the right off top. Different tree runs but they're right there and accessible, some of the better runs are right there off saddleback.

I wouldn't do any tree skiing with the clowns pretending to be ski patrol right now. Even the very best skiers can screw up in the trees and get injured.

Iron Mountain has good trees. That section is pretty technical. Super condor woods is one of the best spots on the mountain. Then there is the aspens if it’s not carved out.

Enjoy the 2-3 hour wait in the lift lines!

Not really tbh. A few little corners here and there
