Friends and I travelling from Seattle to San Francisco on a road trip summer 2025. Interested in easy to moderate hikes, waterfalls and breathtaking scenery. Please give recommendations of any kind, from places we must see to restaurants to best places to stop and stay over!

Little Zigzag Falls, at the end of USFS road 39 off highway 26, Mt Hood. About an hour East of Portland, beautiful easy hike and spectacular falls at the end. Not tall, but many channels, with trees growing everywhere. Lovely spot.

Columbia River gorge is not to be missed. Drive East on 84 at least to Hood River to see all the falls and cliffs. Good eats and beer in Hood River.

Silver Falls State Park has a great loop trail Samuel Boardman Coastline has multiple hikes down to the coves Crater Lake has several hikes. On to the high point above the rim and another down to the lake Snoqualmie Falls is an easy hike to the bottom Nearly all the good falls in the Gorge are an easy hike for a good view.
