Child birth certificate for visa upon arrival. Tourism

Hello we will be arriving at Windhoek airport with 7 year old. We have international short version of birth certificate. On the internet it is said we need full version, not short version but we are not able to get one in time.

Is this really checked at the airport and if it is then would short international official document from PL authority not be enough?

EDIT: this is short version of the certificate but contains both parents names

Each time we crossed the Namibian borders (both airport in Windhoek and on the road checkpoints with Botswana) birth certificates were meticolously examined. I don't know what do you mean by short vs full version. As far as I know In Poland you can only get Odpis skrócony aktu urodzenia = shortened copy of birth certificate. Just make sure it is international / multilingual version.

That's exactly what we have. Do you think it's good enough? Technically it's not full version :)

It is good, we crossed Namibian border 8 times and never had issues. Just be prepared to patiently show where is the father's name, where is the mother's name etc. I'm not aware that you can get any other birth certificate from Polish authorities (can you?) so I was fully convincing when I was telling this to the border officers :).

You can get full but just Polish version that you need to translate after. International one is shortened version only. But contains both names, whereas "abridged" version from Namibia or SA contains only name of the mother.

Ok. So I wasn't lying - what I got is the only multilingual document you can get from the PL authorities.

If it has the parents names that will be fine. The abridged from Namibia and south africa do not have any of the parents details.

The reason for asking unabridged would be to verify that you are indeed the parents

We have travelled to Namibia multiple times with 2 girls (10 & 9 now) since they have been born (1-2 times a year), and not once have they checked their birth certificates. We only have a skrócony aktu urodzenia with us, and we keep it with us just in case...
