CC questions (Orange County) CCW Question

Hi, I’m interested to hear some opinions if it’s worth it to try for my CC.

I have the opportunity to take a course this month with friends. I made some dumb teenage decisions with my license, zero points on my license, but numerous suspensions and 2 driving without a license tickets. I currently have my permit (years ago I have a physical injury and I thought I was never going to drive again so I gave up my license, stupid.)

I have nothing else that concerns me, but if I can save the time/money and not even attempt, I’d obviously like to keep that money in my pocket. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

People have gotten a permit with waaaaaaaaaaay much worse records . You are definitely in the clear

For context, I am 25. I’m not sure if that would be to close to my “incidents”

Tough call, but since you have taken the classes I’m sure you are past the decision point. It’s going to come down to the judge. Our system is a little different in OC.

Yeah, which judge you get assigned to will greatly affect your experience. We (my family and I) have Judge Brown and we never had to meet with the judge. It could have also been the fact that our file was extremely thin (no arrests, no convictions, just the occasional traffic ticket). He is also really good about signing off on amendments. The longest I have had to wait is 3 weeks, the shortest is a week. I have heard that the new judge, Judge Kim, does require the applicant to meet with her.
