2024-25 NCAAW Mid-Major+ User Poll Top 20: Week 3 User Poll
This is not the main NCAAW user poll, for that poll go here
Top 20 rankings of teams in all conferences excluding the ACC, B10, B12, BE & SEC
The "+" in the poll name is a nod to the varied usage of the term "mid-major", as there are teams in this poll sometimes discussed as outliers, high or low majors etc. and the scope of this poll includes ALL teams outside of the 5 conferences mentioned above. Mid-Major is not an official term used by the NCAA and is not interpreted the same by all. The primary purpose of this poll is for starting conversations about the teams themselves, not the concept of a mid-major. Remember have fun and be courteous to others!

Today saw a couple of important wins for teams in the Top 20 or receiving votes: George Mason over Wake Forest, Northern Iowa over Iowa St and Albany over Syracuse. Also of note is Northern Arizona who did not receive votes this week, but came up with a big win over Arizona.
Here are a few notable games Thu-Sun for teams from the top 20 (in bold):
Thu 11/21: Cornell @ Quinnipiac, Belmont @ Duke, Rice @ Gonzaga, Boise St vs San Francisco, Princeton @ Seton Hall
Fri 11/22: Saint Joseph's @ Utah, Oklahoma @ UNLV
Sat 11/23: SDSU vs Georgia Tech, Ball St vs North Carolina (Battle for Atlantis), Harvard @ Northwestern, Columbia vs Indiana (Battle for Atlantis), FGCU vs Georgetown
Sun 11/24: Ball St vs Texas A&M or Villanova, Drake @ Iowa St, Harvard @ Illinois St, Quinnipiac @ Maine, Columbia vs Baylor or Southern Mississippi, FGCU vs Cincinnati, Gonzaga @ New Mexico, Princeton @ Rutgers

As a St Joes alum, I am still not thrilled about our out of conference schedule lacking any Top 25 / RV teams. Utah is essentially our big one left and even winning that won’t get on the Top 25 radar IMO. I fear if we don’t outright win the A10 tournament title, we will go back to NIT again due to it. Not thrilled w our AD at all..

Your eyes do not deceive you, while South Dakota St received the most 1st place votes for Week 3, Richmond actually outranked them by being a consensus higher ranked team overall amongst all voters.
