Should I revamp my ring? Looking for Advice

Hi, my husband gifted me this customized 3ct marquise on 18k yellow gold as an anniversary gift. He knows I'm an avid fan of Spice Girls hence the VB inspired design. As years pass by, I feel like the ring is so vanilla and planning to have it revamped. Do you think that adding mini stones on the band would make it look overkilled? Or how about adding some stones around the part holding the stone (see 2nd photo) to make it look like a hidden halo? Any insights?

Personally I think it’s absolutely PERFECT just like it is. If you want to spice things up get some different bands to stack with your solitaire. That’s what I did. I change them up every so often and it keeps things interesting for me.

Anabella from Tianyu is where I got my emerald bands from and I’m thinking about getting another one lol.

I just love to stack it up lol. I also have a 5-stone OEC ring that I’ll wear in place of the emerald band as well.

Honestly I love it as is! But, I’m a bit biased as I’m not a huge fan of the pave band on solitaire nor am I a hidden halo person. I also think it’s a trend which might not stick around. I think your ring looks completely beautiful as is 🙂

It isn’t vanilla to me, looks classic. Very beautiful. If it were mine, I’d add a fun colored band. Husbands birthstone?

I think its gorgeous as is. Have you considered getting a fun or sparkly ring guard/enhancer to wear around it? Double chevron ring guards or separate chevron bands on either side would compliment the shape really well.

I love the idea of the hidden halo, it'll really highlight the marquise shape! Mini stones on the band could be a great way to add extra detail without making it too busy.

I think you should go with what your gut tells you BUT this is absolutely stunning in my opinion on its own. Maybe instead of adding side stones, maybe play with some different band stack options and see if that elevates it without you compromising the band by adding stones

Moissanite is so affordable nowadays, I'd keep that ring the way it is and just get a new piece if you want to switch it up. Won't even cost you $100 to get something bedazzled up if you get silver, and if u get white gold or gold band still not even a few hundred at most
