Lightroom shrinking screen on M1 MacBook Pro HELP - Lightroom Classic

I have a 16” M1 Max MacBook Pro that I run Lightroom on. Usually I run with an external monitor, but when I travel, I just use the MacBook Pro screen. When I’m using Lightroom my screen scales down a little bit, I guess because of the Notch in the screen, ever though the Notch would really not be interfering with anything in Lightroom. When I flip back and forth between Lightroom and other programs the screen scales up and down slightly. Not a huge issue, but still a little annoying. Anyone know how to stop this?

Happens all the time to me when I go into the light box mode (L). Have to quit the program completely to get it back to normal. Very annoying

Try this:

  • Select Lr in the apps folder

  • File>Get Info

  • un/click Scale to Fit.

Oh man, didn't even know that was a thing... This worked right away, thank you!

Now that you mention it, for whatever reason, my LrC has stopped that rescaling when I switch back and forth between LrC and other open apps. It had been going on, and I have no clue when it stopped doing that. I recall unsuccessfully trying various things to get it to stop as it was a bit annoying. I hadn't even realized that it wasn't doing it any longer until you mentioned it.

I'm using a MBP M3 Pro running macOS 14.7.2 (Sonoma) and LrC 14.1.1

I just updated to the latest version of Lightroom and that fixed it. I was on 14.0.11, so it must be 14.1 that fixed the problem.
