I’m convinced Musk has a fetish for demolishing his own fan base. He’s doing to his MAGA fans now what he once did to his Tesla fans. He builds up a following, gets bored, and then sabotages it in a quest to build a new one.
Nah, he is that insecure--he needs to know who'll never leave him no matter how much abuse he heaps on them. He needs to know which of his stories can overcome objective reality and bring it under his control (Because deep down he fears he really has none).
What new following could he be getting in this one, though? Exploitative business owners in high-salary industries? Seems like the numbers are really dwindling if this gamble of his doesn't pay off.
I think hes just a highly toxic person whose public PR image is falling apart. Hes always been a piece of shit, he just is in the public eye too much to hide it.
He treats his children and his spouses like garbage.
I think he just used his money to build an amazing public image, but then his real self kept showing up and destroying it.
