If I were president in 2029, I’d use my unitary executive rights and official acts to take Tesla, spacex, x, and starlink and sell them to American born billionaires, or turn them into employee owned Co-ops.

This dude couldn’t give a fuck about America. It’s just a layover for him, he doesn’t care if the country fails, so long as he gets richer.

Edit: changed could to couldn’t.

Employee owned companies largely do well...

Something about aligning incentives.

They don't do well at making generational wealth for a couple families.

I like shopping at Winco over Walmart because Winco is employee owned.

This is part of why the us is fucked. Even in the wildest dreams of many, the only solution that can be imagined is selling companies to other billionaires or the people who just so happen to work for the company at the time, as if it isn't the wealth of society that gives these particular companies essentially all of their value whatsoever.

That's... a remarkable concise and fitting description of the current day USA.

Well, the bright side is this gives them someone to look down on, even if they make less than them. That is what matters.

America next.

At least I think that is the Rusian translation.

American corporations first.

The corporation's will import the best from around the world to run their business in America. The actual peasant workers can be from wherever as long as the executives don't have to see them.

The bet must be that they think the savings from labor costs will more than offset the loss in consumer spending.

Plus there's no republican downside, they'll just make scapegoats out of a different shed of brown people

He's setting up a "problem" to "fix." He'll "fix it" by offering people who are being deported an indentured servitude type deal.

Domestic work visa? Damn that's just stupid and evil enough to be the actual plan.
