It's a fantastic topic to build your hate-based politics around now that abortion was taken off the table. The ones directly affected by not fixing the problem cannot vote, you can vilify them all you want without any repercussions. Since the entire voter base is built upon having a target for hatred, fixing the issue would actually be detrimental.

There just needs to be lots of theatrics, but not actually make it any better. The ones that pay the price of all that posturing and maneuvering don't matter anyways.

And remember, you don't want to piss off the big agricultural companies either. You think Tyson, Driscoll's, Taylor Farms, Perdue will just go along quietly when you deport their profit margins along with 95% of their exploitable workforce? Lol, no.
