You do you, but I personally HATE having something on the lanyard loop. It always gets in the way of the inside tools on that side.

My solution was to add a small lanyard (and a trit fob) to the pocket clip. I still have to move it out of the way sometimes, but because it's far enough to of the way, you can still open and lock the tools.

Mixglo.com I also ordered thumb studs from Etsy and I will glue in tritium vials from mixglo

The thumb studs I ordered have a slot to glue one in on each blade.
