Eagle's Reviews: SLP Episode 3: Psyche Discussion
Hi! I'm back with another review of Serial Experiments: Lain.
Recently, I watched episode three, Psyche. It felt like a warm up to the next few episodes, but we're see. Here are my thoughts:
- Something is definitely wrong with Lain. Maybe The Wired is possessing her?
- I'm sorry, but I still don't like Lain's 'friends'. They're so annoying, but Alice seems like a supportive person.
- I really like the lighting effects with all of the technology. The flashing of the screens, a glowing monitor, etc
- I keep on seeing birds. I wonder what those are about.
- Why does Lain's dad look like Rivers Cuomo from Weezer? Like, not young Rivers Cumo, but like 2016 onwards. It's not just me, right?
- When Lain says, "good night" to the Navi, it reminds me of someone talking to Amazon's Alexa. This show definitely predicted a lot of modern-day technology stuff.
- I don't like Lain's mom. Does she have depresssion or something?
- I would've punched that guy who asked Lain for a date or walked away from him.
- I feel like the ending of Lain isn't going to be a positive one.
- Those guys were near Lain's house? Are you guys supposed to by Secret Service agents or something? C'mon, do a better job!
- I didn't get the best impression of Lain's sister, but her checking up on her made me slightly warm up to her. Maybe she just doesn't like her parents
- Overall, while this episode had some interesting developments, to me, it was pretty boring. I'll look forward to the next one, though, and until then, Long Live Lain!
