It’s not over yet! 🌶️🍁🍂

3rd harvest coming in, last one about 2 weeks ago was a little under 2lbs (98 peppers). This round is even more loaded. Hopefully there is time for them to turn orange before first frost usually around mid November (zone 8, North Texas).

Did you graft it with something? Usually, peppers don't grow so big and/or don't produce all year round

Nope did not graft. It’s still 85F during the day - I suspect this will be the last month as temps dip off by Halloween usually

Thank you very much! Can I ask you what kind of soil mix and fertilisers you use? And how often?

Sure thing - this is miracle gro that I amended with bone meal, oyster shells, Epsom salt, earthworm casing, and coco coir + perlite for more drainage. Mix all of that up and when I transplanted I put mycorhizzal fungi in the transplant hole. Originally it started in a 5 gallon, then went to 10, then this half whisky barrel (30 gallons?). I up-potted when the soil would dry out too frequently from how much water the plant took in, so I could water less. Plus I wanted to see how large I could grow it. I used fish fertilizer 5-1-1 twice a month and during the blooms gave it neptunes harvest rose fertilizer (2-8-1). Cal mag fox farms twice a month

What type of miracle gro? The organic raised bed & garden soil?

Yellow bag, just standard potting soil. I use fox farms happy frog potting soil too but miracle gro was just laying in my pile. I’d recommend happy frog over miracle gro
