I have two grouped Apple HomePods connected to my Apple TV. Frequently, when I’m connected from my phone via Bluetooth, music from Spotify plays as static/broken up. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Is this a common issue?

Beginner here - iPhone /homepod mini ( don’t have Apple TV ) - playing Spotify on HomePod (18.2) from iPhone (18.2) via airplay - have similiar “static/broken up”.
I basically have to leave my iPhone beside the HomePod to ensure good sounds… and I do think it is good when working properly. Im not a big fan of airplay due to having to leave iPhone beside HomePod.
Spotify works perfectly fine from iPhone with Bluetooth connection to portable Speakers (JBL/UE Boom).
I have noticed iPhone battery drains fast since installed HomePod but don’t think that would affect sound quality/connection on airplay ….?
I have a telco provided Router - NZ Vodafone Ultra Hub and have seen several posts with people recommending to get better routers for home automation etc.
I think it’s a software issue with Spotify/Homepod connection in my case.

Hi,
for some days now Siri cannot turn the lights of a room on or off.
Before I could say "Siri, turn off the kitchen lights" and Siri would turn off the whole room (3 lights). Same with turning it on.
Now Siri just replies with "Sorry, I cannot do that" ("Tut mir Leid, das kann ich nicht tun"). I still can toggle single lights on/off by telling Siri their exact name.
I already tried turning off all AppleTVs/HomePods/iPhones etc. and turning them on again one by one, no luck.
Siri on iPhone, iPad and AppleTV still working fine btw, it's only the HomePods (not just one, no HomePod in any room is able to...)
Anything I can do? Is there some weird setting I acceidentally toggled so the HomePods somehow have forgotten the concept of rooms? I just updated everything to the latest firmware btw.

Hi 🌊
This isn’t so much a support question as a curiosity. I have my HomePod Minis set with a media alarm to play a specific streaming radio station to wake me up. The stream however can be pretty unreliable, so it often can’t play the stream.
In the past it’s just failed, but in the last month or two I’ve noticed that in those instances it sometimes starts playing music from my Apple Music library instead. I’m not mad at it, kind of like it. Just curious if anyone else has observed something similar? I can’t find anything in any release notes to explain it.
Cheers!

Hi all, here is a photo to reference for this question: https://imgur.com/a/XerlNor
Due to space limitations, we had to take an unconventional setup for our home theater. The pull-down projector was installed over a French door. It's not ideal, but it is the only space that worked for us.
Now I would like to install a pair of HomePods as stereo speakers, but I am unsure if the placement will work in our space. My main concern is that the right speaker would be right next to a hallway...given the circular design of the HomePod, would there be a significant escape of sound down the hallway if it were placed there?
Open to any better/alternative solutions. Thanks!

I would not use HP’s for this setup. They need a good base/shelf to sit on to sound right.
I ended up adding a Klipsch Sub to supplement the sound and it has been a game changer.
