Is there any amount of time BEFORE their stinky spraying glands mature, or can they do it from birth?

Edit: Always wondered. Never bothered to look it up! Hahaha

They can create the spray from birth but can perfect their aim around 4-5 months old. :)

The real question is where is their mother hiding? Because she is close by and she will definitely spray you. Speaking from experience following and adorable clutch of skunk babies during my youth.

Maybe the one on the far right is the mom? It’s the only one with a full tail. So they must be older babies
