It's different now. It's still fun but I miss the sense of adventure with random people, the exp grind, the exploration. It's just not the same like it was 2004-2009.

I mean yeah it will never go back to the way it was in times of Olde XI but New XI is still really great. I play with frens every day just about and we have tons of fun! There’s 2 frens I play with all the time forever days and it’s just an absolute blast! :)

That's why private servers exist. Just go play HorizonXI if you want the classic vibe.

I'm currently playing HorizonXI. Private server but it is back in the old dune party days 75 cap era. Free and easy download.

I told myself and some friends I brought over from XIV that use to play XI that we would play XI casually. That ended up being a lie.

If you are interested. I can hook you up with a LS if you happen to join.

I was playing it. For like a year. I loved it. But then it quit working for me. I've tried all of the troubleshooting and Ashita stuff. It refuses to work for me. I'm sad because I miss it so. It's amazing. They did a great job and I loved the community.

I had an issue with it as well. I ended up deleting it, reinstalling and everything and still had issues.

A friend of mine was able to somehow reset it for me and I was able to get back into it. Turned out that I kept installing the files under my Download folder rather than programs lol.

I tried that, I even did a factory reset. I found a file on GitHub to make Horizon was being deleted properly. Checked my firewall.. On and on. I gave up. I miss it though.

I will do everything in my power to bring you back to Vana'Diel.

What exactly was preventing you from playing? Were you able to launch it and then it closed out? Was it stuck on the installation process? Would it force close everything ashita would launch?

It does the thing where Ashita opens and then immediately closes. I thought maybe it was Bitdefender.
