It's different now. It's still fun but I miss the sense of adventure with random people, the exp grind, the exploration. It's just not the same like it was 2004-2009.
I mean yeah it will never go back to the way it was in times of Olde XI but New XI is still really great. I play with frens every day just about and we have tons of fun! There’s 2 frens I play with all the time forever days and it’s just an absolute blast! :)
I was playing it. For like a year. I loved it. But then it quit working for me. I've tried all of the troubleshooting and Ashita stuff. It refuses to work for me. I'm sad because I miss it so. It's amazing. They did a great job and I loved the community.
I had an issue with it as well. I ended up deleting it, reinstalling and everything and still had issues.
A friend of mine was able to somehow reset it for me and I was able to get back into it. Turned out that I kept installing the files under my Download folder rather than programs lol.
I tried that, I even did a factory reset. I found a file on GitHub to make Horizon was being deleted properly. Checked my firewall.. On and on. I gave up. I miss it though.
I will do everything in my power to bring you back to Vana'Diel.
What exactly was preventing you from playing? Were you able to launch it and then it closed out? Was it stuck on the installation process? Would it force close everything ashita would launch?
Give Dragon Quest X a shot. It won’t give the full XI feel, but it’ll get you really damn close to it. Since it’s fan-translated, there’s little in terms of guides, and what guides exist you’re relying on auto-translate. That also means there’s a small community, and you will need to talk some with people.
Again, it’s not going to give the full 00’s XI, but I feel like it can give a similar feel, or at least the one of the closest recreations we’ll get to it
