Low cost Covid/Flu vaccines for uninsured adults?
I scheduled an appointment with Safeway for tomorrow but can’t find anything about the cost without insurance anywhere. Worried the Covid booster is going to be out of my price range but I have a baby to meet!!

Call the pharmacy and ask. Historically, vaccines and the flu shot are not meant to be cost prohibitive as that defeats the purpose in reaching a wide swath of the population.

“Uninsured,” was a clue here I think

Skimmed the post that’s my bad I’ll delete, better advice would be to call around. Depending on the pharmacy dispensing fee the prices vary but GoodRx has coupons for vaccines, they don’t cover that dispensing fee but brings down the price.

Lane County Public Health should be able to help. Communicable Disease division (541) 682-4041
Also, is there any chance you can get insurance? OHP is free and is based on your monthly income.
I'm not sure how useful these links from Lane County Health Dept are, but thought that I would add them.
Women, Infants & Children (541) 682-4202
Family & Child Health (541) 682-8720
Edit: I thought you were having a baby but now I see you "have a baby to meet" so maybe you aren't pregnant like I first thought. But I still hope there is a good option for you to have health insurance, you need it for the unexpected stuff too!

Thank you! We missed the last deadline for open enrollment after just losing OHP, so we should have insurance soon! Just a poorly timed lapse

The fact that we have to deal with this makes me so mad. We were all the test subjects for it at one point. The government bank-rolled a lot of the research. We should be collecting dividends not paying for it.

Oregon.gov states you do not need insurance to get COVID vaccine but call pharmacy ahead of time to confirm.

I was at the Safeway on 40th and Donald yesterday and the pharmacy tech was wearing a T-shirt that said, “Flu Shots Are FREE”.

When I tried to get it while uninsured about 3 months ago, I was told it is $200. I wish I had better news for you.

Contact Lane County Public Health. They often offer free or low cost vaccines for people who don't have insurance.
