Shout out to Terry's Diner
I left my purse like an idiot, but they went above and beyond to get it back to me.
Everything's all there, and I'm just super grateful.

I love Terry's. The food isn't anything that special, but sometimes you want a big, weird fried spinach patty on your eggs Florentine instead of the three fresh spinach leaves everywhere else does. It's SUCH a Eugene thing and I'm here for it.

Terrys is greet. Standard diner food but the atmosphere and the staff keep me and mine coming back.

I so enjoy sitting in the back room and looking at all the record albums on the wall and we love the ads in the booths. Plus their special huevos rancheros with hash browns is the bomb!

One of the only places open during the ice storm last year. Will always have a special place in my heart

Might get downvoted but I absolutely hate that place and would much rather drive further to buddys to avoid it at any cost. I live down the street and have tried it multiple times over the years and always get absolutely shitty service and the food has been mediocre even at basic diner standards. Glad they got your purse back to you though 🤙🏼

Upvoted because fuck all the people who downvote when you give an honest opinion that doesn't match the status quo.
SUCH A BITCH ASS EUGENE THING. LMAO.

...I was just gonna ask how it compares to Buddy's.
Online reviews are better for Buddy's, but always good to get a fresh comparison.
Plus there's an animal clinic just across from Buddy's so you can zone out and watch all the dogs and cats go in and out.

Buddy’s is definitely better than Terry’s in every regard.
The best diner in town is Mandy’s on Willamette by far, it’s just a bit further from us and we like buddy’s enough to just go there.

I have been twice. Both times were terrible. Second time gave me food poisoning. Never again. It amazes me to see so many people love it.

I've only ever been to Terry's once, and it may have been the worst service I've ever received. I went with my partner at the time, and two young children. I felt like that may have been the problem in the eyes of the waitstaff, but my kids were very quiet and well-behaved the entire visit. We received dirty looks from the staff upon entering, took overly long to get seated, and it took at least 30 minutes after we were seated to get our food order taken. This was despite the fact we were seated directly next to the server station. The staff was actively avoiding acknowledging our presence while they were inputting the orders of other diners. People that came in 10 to 15 minutes after us had their food before we did. This happened about 12 years ago, though, so it's entirely possible the service is completely improved by now.

I bet it was my friend that did the work to make sure you got it! Good folks there!

Love them but some of the vintage ads on the walls are a bit racist 😅 duh the fifties were racist but can’t be too hard to find different ones on eBay

I didn't look closely at any of the decorations. Now I'm glad I didn't, lol

I love vintagey type stuff and used to love collaging vintage magazines as a kid so I always read anything vintage I find all the way through. A little masochistic, being Mexican 😅

My wife and I take our toddler there twice a month. He loves their breakfast sausage.

Terry’s is just that perfect American diner experience. Friendly staff, not overpriced.
