Source for mason jars

Has anyone seen mason jars for sale in bulk, locally? I'm looking for quart size mainly. I have tried Costco and considered ordering online but feel like buying a fragile item locally would be best.

Thanks in advance

We get ours from BiMart but IIRC they come in dozen count flats. Not sure whether that counts as "bulk" for your purposes.

Also seconding Bimart, they usually have the large containers of pickling vinegar and bags of Mrs Wages pickling salt too.

Eugene Hardware True Value has my heart but I think you can also get them at BiMart, Winco, Safeway, Albertsons, Walmart, Fred Meyer, and Target.

Brace yourself for sticker shock though, the price sky rocketed during the pandemic and never really went back down. And just the cost of flat lids for wide mouth jars seems to run $4-$6 per dozen :(

People give them away in Buy Nothing groups all the time, otherwise True Value

Coincidentally, I was also looking for this today. True Value on Willamette were $19.99 for the quart size as of today. Also True Value is independently owned, which means more money stays local.

True Value on Willamette, Fred Myers on W 11th, Market of Choice on 30th and Target at Gateway all carry bulk mason jars. You can also order online to ship to any of those stores for pickup.

Bimart generally has the best prices followed by Ace.

I have ordered them from Target and Amazon and both have showed up absolutely shattered.

Bimart actually had a stack of wide mouths here in Sisters on sale for like $13 a dozen for the 32ozers.

The Restore store had a bunch when I was there the other day!

Probably selling for more than new ones.

Buying them in large bunches works fine, i would usually go to True Value or Bi-Mart; the hard thing is buying just one or two, and the only real solution i've found for that is Red Barn.
