West 11th & Oak Patch taped off by police.

Driving to work this morning and the cops have the entire block taped off on west 11th starting at Oak Patch to the next block going east. Anyone heard anything? Tried looking but didn't find anything as of yet.

You are wrong. No matter how condescending you try to sound you are wrong. There are laws against jaywalking in Oregon. That is what I am arguing. You are arguing about driver responsibility and I am arguing about pedestrian responsibility. I agree with you, it is negligent to drive and hit a pedestrian at any point in the roadway if there is time to stop. That is reckless driving, vehicular manslaughter. On the other hand pedestrians have responsibilities as much as drivers do. If a pedestrian crosses outside a crosswalk or interestection, they can be cited and fined for jaywalking per oregon law. Because it is unlawful to cross in any other space.

Edited to clarify

That has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion here. Jaywalking being citable has no relevance on "right of way".

Yes it does because it proves that there are places where it is unlawful for a pedestrian to cross. Unlike u r asserting.

I never asserted that, I think you're having difficulties understanding the nuance and I'm gonna leave that here because arguing with a wall is pointless for me.
