24 hours kiosk?
Has anyone ever used the self-service 24 hour kiosk at the post office after closing? I’ve read some post offices that do have the kiosk, leave their lobbies open after closing specifically and only for that purpose however I cannot imagine they do that here. I have a small package of perfume with a pre-printed label that I need to ship within the next two days, it won’t fit in the blue collecting box. I work graveyard shift so going to the post office during normal hours is an option. It’s just kind of a sacrifice for me. Any advice would be helpful thank you.

I have used the self-service kiosk at the main post office in Eugene without a problem. You got to make sure your package isn't too big, it will accommodate a package bigger than a normal mailbox but smaller than a bread box. Make sure you have an ATM card or debit card to pay and I don't know if their offices are still open in the middle of the night but I've used it on weekends and after hours. It's been a while so somebody correct me if I'm wrong. It is closed on Sunday.

Do you remember which one you went to?

The kiosks exist but at least as of a couple days ago they were malfunctioning. So you might want to phone ahead.

Sometimes they do, you can't necessarily call ahead on this because if they're aware then they leave a note on it.

This search tool will tell you where the kiosks are and if they're open 24 hours or not: https://tools.usps.com/locations/
Edit: you can search specifically for kiosks with the dropdown.

I have used the kiosk multiple times, I'm 99% sure we don't have a 24 hour one.

Division Ave. post office lobby is always open, and the package drop goes into the back room so it doesn't fill up like the one downtown that is a self-contained unit. The handle on the Division box is currently broken, but the door still works. I usually drop off between 7 and 8 am.

I only go to self serve after hours, and have for years. They have the big silver box you pull down and put your package in. I go to both west 11th and south eugene. But I'm sure they're all at all the USPS.
