Flyer Friendly Businesses

I need to put up flyers for an event at the school where I work. I'm still relatively new to the area and I'm wondering if there are any places in town known for putting up flyers and having pretty decent traffic?

I'm from a small town, so coffee shops, etc that would support the arts would be kind of the idea. I just don't want to go to places (like I did last year) where the employees will take them but the boss will never put them up. I also want to avoid grocery stores where they have bulletin boards but no one will ever see them.I have a limited number to hand out and I want them in the best places as possible!

Thank you in advance!

see this recent post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Eugene/comments/1gyd9ks/publiccommunity_bulletin_boards_around_town/

Note the board at Sundance, @ 24th & Hilyard has a sign that says date your flyer, and they'll leave it up for two (2) weeks.

Laundromats, bars, and coffee shops are great places here. Avoid corporate coffee shops like Starbucks; much more likely to not be able to pay or for it to be taken down.

Red Barn Grocery, Capella Grocery, and Sundance Grocery all have long time established bulletin boards.

Dark Pine Coffee has a community board that’s like the only place I’ve actively looked at flyers haha

5th street has one in the bottom floor before you get to the restrooms.  You just need to get your flyer stamped in their office before you put it up. Instructions for that are on their billboard

In a world with the internet are flyers still valid? I can't remember the last time I looked at one.

People without social media like plays too. Plus my school district won't let us have a social media page, so the only way for us to advertise is word of mouth and flyers. 🤷🏻‍♀️
